Welcome to our survivalist and prepper site
HackHunter.com was placed online to help those who consider themselves to be survivalist and/or preppers to learn about radio communications when the time comes to grab the bug out bag. Many times folks have been so focused on the everyday needs of survivalism and food/goods preparations that they completely forget about one important aspect of their day. And that is radio communications. Radios, antennas and other communications issues can be a bit daunting to those who are involved on them and this makes it even more difficult to those who are just starting to learn more about radios and communications resources for survivalists and preppers.
Basic radio communications is all one should need when you head out the door with your bug out bag in your hand. But even basic communications should be planned for well in advance. Just as you took great care for your bug out bag you should also take the same care to insure that you will be able to communicate with other survivalists.
What are the basic components of a communications system? Here is a very short list:
- A radio, or radios depending on your needs.
- An antenna, possibly more than one.
- An FCC license where applicable.
- A communications plan.
If you have yet to implement a communications plan then you owe it to yourself to begin one at your earliest convenience. The time you spend today will be much rewarded should the time arrive for you and your family to grab the bug out bags.
